'He was my trainee...He shot at me twice, but he missed. He almost executed me'

Ali Hamsa Yusuf, 22, was killed by police after he opened fire on an officer who was saved by his bulletproof vest

The shooting occurred around 4;40 pm on Sunday at the warehouse in West Jefferson, Ohio. It's unknown why he tried to shoot his supervisor and police say he had no criminal history

"It appeared that he had a jam, was checking the top rail of the gun, and then ultimately fired the round. It just missed the victim's head"

Yusuf was a contracted security guard at the Amazon fulfillment center. He had been training for around two weeks. Police say he had no criminal history

The officer who was shot was released from Grant Medical Center and is expected to be okay
