WATCH: "Subway surfing" is becoming a growing trend among teenagers who will "surf" and run on top of moving trains
"Subway surfing" is becoming a growing trend among teenagers who will "surf" and run on top of moving trains. The trend is common in New York City where teens risk their lives just for some views online. One Manhattan mother is suing Meta, TT and the MTA after her son died while trying to pull off the stunt. Instead of putting all the blame on herself for her own son's stupidity, Norma Nazario says "social media and the MTA" are to blame for "failing" her son. Her son Zackery who apparently bought a ski-mask off TT for the stunt, died in 2023 while subway surfing on a Brooklyn-bound J train over the Williamsburg Bridge. Zackery was "surfing" the train when he got smacked by a low beam in the head. He then fell between the subway cars before getting run over by the train.
