San Francisco Middle School Student Stabbed on Campus

On Friday, a student at Francisco Middle School in San Francisco was reportedly stabbed, and a juvenile suspect was apprehended, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The incident was reported to the police around 12:45 p.m., prompting officers from Central Station to respond to the scene.

Upon arriving at the school, located at the 2100 block of Powell Street, officers met with the victim and school staff. The victim, who is a juvenile, was transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The police deta ined another juvenile in connection with the incident and are still investigating the matter.

The San Francisco Unified School District had earlier announced that a student was injured in an incident at the school and that the police had already responded. However, the district assured the school community that there is no ongoing threat.

This incident is just the latest in a series of school stabbings that have occurred in the Bay Area, including the fatal stabbing of a student in Santa Rosa.
