Joining Sen. Cruz in the cause are Republican Senators Roger Marshall, Bill Hagerty, Mike Lee, Tom Cotton, Chuck Grassley, Josh Hawley, Thom Tillis, John Kennedy, Cindy Hyde-Smith, and Mike Braun. They’re determined to keep the integrity of the Supreme Court intact and prevent Democrats from tampering with a fundamental aspect of our democracy.
Democrats have been pushing for court packing since the 2020 election, and things got worse when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year. In their twisted minds, they believe packing the court would rebalance it and promote their agenda. But we all know better, don’t we?
President Biden may have said that he doesn’t support court packing, but we need to ensure the Supreme Court is protected by a constitutional amendment so that no future president can go rogue and add more justices to the Court. Senator Cruz’s amendment would guarantee that our Supreme Court remains independent and composed of nine justices.
With this constitutional amendment, we’ll be able to preserve the precedent and founding principles of the Supreme Court. In other words, the Democrats won’t be able to rig our democracy like they’ve been relentlessly trying to do. It’s time for us conservatives to stand up and fight for our democracy, protect our Supreme Court, and keep our values alive. We must thank Senator Ted Cruz and his brave colleagues for leading the charge in this fight.
