Accused Waukesha Parade Attacker Says He’s a ‘Sovereign Citizen’, Wants to Rep Himself

During a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, accused Waukesha parade attacker Darrell Brooks requested to represent him in his upcoming trial. “Yes, I do. I would like to represent myself pro per,” Brooks answered the judge when she asked him if he wanted to represent himself. “I’ve already said it on record, to represent myself as a sovereign citizen.”
