According to newly released FBI documents, popular internet slang terms are being associated with extremism and potential violence. The documents revealed that the FBI was monitoring online conversations and social media posts that use slang, to claim it indicated a shift towards conservative radicalization.
The Heritage Foundation obtained the documents which revealed exactly how the FBI associated online speech, protected by the First Amendment, with violence. The FBI reportedly considered the use of terms such as “based” or “red pilled” as indications of “Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremism.” Similarly, using terms like “looksmaxxing,” “Chad,” and “Stacy” could get individuals on the FBI’s watchlist for “Involuntary Celibate Violent Extremism.”
The FBI was reportedly concerned that the use of such language could be a precursor to real-world violence and terrorism.
For those who don’t know:
- “Based” or “red pilled” are terms used to describe someone who has been enlightened or awakened to the truth about a certain topic, usually related to politics or society
- “Looksmaxxing” refers to the process of trying to improve one’s physical appearance through methods such as exercise, skincare, or plastic surgery
- “Chad” is a term used to describe an attractive, successful, and sexually active man
- “Stacy” is a term used to describe an attractive, popular, and sexually active woman
Those are our tax payer dollars hard at work!
The documents show just how out of touch the FBI is with reality. The focus on “conservative radicalization” shows that the FBI is targeting a specific group based on their political beliefs, rather than monitoring for actual potential violence.
Makes you wonder if there are any FBI materials on BLM or violent transgender extremists. Likely not.
