Elon Musk Picks Apart The Trump Civil Case Verdict With One Simple Question

X and SpaceX owner Elon Musk dismissed the verdict in Trump’s civil fraud case by simply asking who the supposed victim was if all of the loans granted to Trump were paid back with interest.

In a rather unsurprising move, the former was found liable in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil suit brought against Trump and his companies. Trump was ordered to “pay back” more than $350 million after the years-long case brought forward by an attorney general who campaigned on “getting Trump” came to a close.

Musk responded with a simple question in an X post. “Given that there were no victims with losses, who is supposed to receive the money?” asked Musk.

Musk has repeatedly expressed concern over the weaponization of the justice system under the Biden Administration and Democrat-controlled states.

“Difficult to explain to the public how this is not a double-standard justice system,” the tech mogul said earlier this month after Special Counsel Robert Hur declined to press charges in the case involving Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. While Hur conceded that Biden mishandled classified information, he argued that perspective jurors would view Biden as a feeble old man who is incapable of committing a crime.

Musk has also come under fire from a number of government agencies since buying Twitter and converting it to X. He is currently being sued by the Biden Administration for alleged discriminatory hiring practices at Space X, with prosecutors arguing that Musk’s company failed to hire enough immigrants. Musk has dismissed the suit as politically motived, citing the government’s own regulations against allowing foreigners to work on military technology.

Musk’s acquisition of Twitter is also being investigated by the SEC. “The SEC seeks Musk’s testimony to obtain information not already in the SEC’s possession that is relevant to its lawful investigation,” the agency said when filing a subpoena this past October. “The SEC has followed all appropriate administrative steps required in seeking Musk’s testimony. In the face of Musk’s blatant refusal to comply with the SEC’s subpoena, the SEC now asks the Court to intervene and compel Musk’s compliance.”

In response to the SEC probe, Musk called for a dramatic overhaul of federal agencies to prevent political targeting.

“A comprehensive overhaul of these agencies is sorely needed, along with a commission to take punitive action against those individuals who have abused their regulatory power for personal and political gain,” the X owner said at the time.
