Jillian Michaels Torches Gavin Newsom, Blames Him For Her Move To Florida

In a candid interview with Bill Maher, Jillian Michaels delivered a blistering critique of Governor Gavin Newsom’s leadership, attributing her relocation to Florida directly to his policies. Michaels, known for her no-nonsense approach to fitness and life, didn’t mince words when discussing her disillusionment with life in California under Newsom’s governance.

“Are we living in Gavin Newsom’s California? Why?” Michaels posed, setting the stage for a deep dive into her frustrations with the state’s direction.

She further criticized the state’s criminal justice decisions, particularly the release of a repeat offender who had broken into her home during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Guess who let the guy out during COVID? Because I got the letter. Newsom,” Michaels disclosed.

The discussion also touched on Newsom’s COVID-19 policies, with Michaels and Maher scrutinizing the governor’s infamous visit to The French Laundry. “Mind you, with no mask on at the French Laundry, after saying you can’t,” Michaels pointed out. “He’s a hypocrite, and that bothers me.”

In contrast, Michaels has found solace in Florida, where she moved in search of a saner living environment. “It feels less crazy than it does here,” she explained, defending her new home state against Maher’s quips about Florida’s reputation.

The move, as Michaels described, offered not just a change of scenery but a reprieve from the policies and issues that had marred her experience in California.

Several celebrities have also vocalized their frustrations with the governance and living conditions in California, leading them to relocate to other states. Joe Rogan, the influential podcast host, moved to Texas, citing California’s high taxes and overcrowding as primary reasons for his departure.

Similarly, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, announced his move to Texas, highlighting the state’s regulatory environment and business-friendly policies as key factors in his decision.

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro and his media company, The Daily Wire, relocated to Tennessee, criticizing California’s governance, tax policies, and overall quality of life. Actor James Van Der Beek also chose to move his family to Texas, seeking a different lifestyle and environment than what California offered.

The high-profile moves have shown a broader trend among many people and businesses reassessing their presence in California, driven by concerns over economic, political, and lifestyle considerations.
