Russian troops confronted by Ukrainians: ‘Go home while you are alive’
Defiant Ukrainians have been protesting against invading Russian forces, with video footage showing crowds chanting “go home” at Russian troops.
Waving Ukrainian flags and raising their fists in the air, residents in Berdyansk, in the east of the country, were filmed surrounding Russian military vehicles and chanting.
Berdyansk is one of two towns in the region that Russian troops were reported to have seized on Monday.
Moscow forces have also seized the town of Enerhodar and the area around the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant, the Russian news agency Interfax reported.
In Majorca, a Ukrainian sailor admitted on Monday that he tried to sink the yacht of his Russian boss, who leads a Russian state arms firm, in retaliation for the invasion.
The mechanic opened the valves in the engine room of the 48m-long Lady Anastasia, which belongs to Rosoboronexport director general Alexander Mikheev, in a bid to sink it.
